From Glory to Glory...

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18

I have often said that if a person prays the same way that they have always prayed, then they will have what they have always had. If we want to see change, we need to pray differently. In order to pray differently, we need to think differently.
In order to think differently, we need to acknowledge, first of all, that some of our presently held opinions and ideas might be wrong.

Often, we do not know that we are wrong, because we do not know what we do not know.
God understands this and will bring situations into our lives to shake us out of old thought patterns and mindsets.
When we get offended by people, many times, it is simply God letting us know that we have camped at this particular mountain of opinion too long. He is saying that it is time to move to a new position so we can get a new perspective. Every time that we move, we change. As children of God, we should constantly be changing to become more like Him. This is the process of transition.

God is moving and we need to move as well. Transition is about moving from one place to another. Moving from one mindset to another.  At our convention in April, the house of Ariel Gate shifted dimensions. God spoke clearly to us through various prophetic words that He requires us to move into new territory and establish His Kingdom. We all got excited and said, “YES LORD, whatever you want, we will go for you!” And then… the journey began!

Taking new territory requires that you leave where we presently are. Leaving our comfort zones. Leaving the way we have always done it, leaving the way we have always prayed and fasted, leaving what we know in order to embrace the new and the unknown. This can be very scary and a spirit of fear is always the first weapon that satan sends our way. Fear of the unknown, fear of what will happen. But praise God, we are not intimidated by this spirit. The Lord has brought us this far and we trust in Him to take us on.

God will protect us in the transition when we do not always understand what is happening. In times of transition, we try to pray and do things as we have always done them, but we do not get the same results. We should not get frustrated with this, but rather use it as an opportunity to press into God on a deeper level  to gain understanding that we have never had before. When nothing makes sense, we cling to the cross. When we feel as if all is being stripped from us, we cling to the cross. When it seems we are in a fire that has been turned 7 times hotter, we cling to the cross.

I am always encouraged when I look at the caterpillar which transforms into a butterfly. When it is time to change, the caterpillar attaches itself to a branch and spins a cocoon around itself as a protective shield. It hangs on this branch in the sun and ‘bakes’ inside the cocoon. The heat causes the DNA of the caterpillar to transform into that of a butterfly. This process takes 7 to 10 days. A crawling caterpillar goes into the cocoon and a beautiful butterfly that can fly vast distances emerges. Heat will bring a change in DNA!

We are in a season of transition and change. Like the caterpillar, we must cling to The Branch which is Jesus. Allow God to place us in a cocoon and turn up the heat so that our DNA can change. In the last month we have had a massive download of teaching from Bishop Heard and Ian Clayton. I encourage you to get the CDs and work through them. Some of the teachings will offend you, some will shed light on dark areas in your life, but all of it will give God room to change our DNA. Right now, you may be facing fiery trials and challenges - Rejoice!  “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory,” 2 Corinthians 4:17 If you are feeling the heat, God has provided an environment for your DNA to be changed. Do not pray to get out of it, pray that you will be transformed IN it!

I want to encourage us all to press into God and not give up. Even though the circumstances may seem difficult, do not give despair and discouragement any place to operate! God has given us new territory to conquer and we have said YES. The enemy thinks he has us trapped, but we are simply being equipped and transformed. We are moving from glory to glory. God is giving us new strategy, arming us for the battle and preparing us for victory!

Blessings

The Good Steward

What is a steward?

A steward is a person employed to manage a large house or an estate. Here in 2 Timothy 2 Paul speaks to Timothy about his position in Christ. What we get from this text is the concept of stewardship of the Gospel of Jesus Christ,Timothy is entrusted with.

What are we learning from this text?
  1. A good steward pleases his commanding officer.
"Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affirs-he wants to please his commanding officer." 2 Timothy 2: 3,4

How does he do that?

A good steward never involves himself with civilian affairs, meaning he does not live and behave anyhow. He does not speak anyhow, he thinks differently from civilians.

For this very reason Paul says be renewed in the spirit of your mind. It takes soldiers who have a different attitude and mind set to please the commanding officer.

Hence we must be born again, this takes the renewal of the mind, and it takes a mindset change. " John 3:3

Christ is the commanding officer, He is the Head of the church we all need to heed His commands; which are given to us through His word.
The question is whom do you please?
Are we seeking to please Christ or ourselves or friends?

2. A good steward plays according to rules. 2 Timothy 2: 5
A good steward is discipline enough to play or run according to the rules. We are in a race, there is a prize to be won, however the reward is determined by how we compete in the race. In every sport there are rules to be followed, the same applies to our own lives. We don't just llive anyhow, there are rules, principles and laws that govern us. For all Christians or Believers in Christ, the Bible becomes the ultimate standard of laws, principles and rules of lives.

Many of us expect to win the race though we keep on breaking rules by own actions, words and lifestyle. We keep on being disobedience to our Master yet we expect to win the prize.

How do you run your race?
Do you think Christ is happy with the way you compete in this race?
Or perhaps He feels like disqualifying you before you can finish the race.

A good steward makes the WORD of God and the WILL of God the standard of all things in his life.

The Human Personality: spirit, soul and body. Prt1

"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thess. 5:23

Paul is praying for these Christians to be completely sanctified and he specifies the three areas which make up total human personality: spirit, soul and body.
The distinction between these three elements of our personality is little understood by most Christians. Yet the Bible provides us with a unique kind of “mirror” which reveals their nature and interrelationship, and shows us how each is intended to function. Failure to use this mirror correctly exposes us to much inner frustration and disharmony.
In the initial creation of man God said, “Let Us make man in Our image,” and “according to Our likeness.”1 Image refers to man’s outward appearance. In a way that is not true of any other creature, man reflects the outward appearance of God. It was appropriate, therefore, that when the Son of God came to dwell on earth, it was in the form of a man—not an ox or a beetle—and not even in the form of some heavenly creature, such as a seraph.
Likeness refers to man’s inner nature. Scripture refers to God as a triune being: Father,Son and Spirit. Likewise it reveals man as a triune being, consisting of spirit, soul and body.
The account of man’s creation reveals how his triune nature came into being: “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being”—more correctly, a living soul.

Man’s spirit came from the inbreathed breath of God. His body was formed from clay, transformed into living human flesh. Instantly he became a living soul.
The soul thus formed is the ego, the individual personality. It is usually defined as consisting of three elements: the will, the intellect and the emotions. It has the responsibility for making personal decisions and expresses itself in three phrases: “I want,” “I think,” “I feel.” Unless touched by the supernatural grace of God, all of human behavior is controlled by these three motivations. Man was created for personal fellowship with God, but his sinful disobedience produced disastrous effects in all three elements of his personality.

Effects of Sin
Cut off from contact with God, man’s spirit died. This was in fulfillment of God’s warning: “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”3 The physical death of Adam’s body, however, did not follow for more then 900 years.
Through exercising his will in direct disobedience to God, man became a rebel in his soul. Since that time, every person descended from Adam has inherited the nature of a rebel.
In Ephesians 2:1–3 Paul describes the results of rebellion that have affected every one of us: “And you . . . were dead in trespasses and sins in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience [rebellion] among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.”
As a result of sin, we have all been dead in our spirits. In our souls we have all been in rebellion against God. Our bodies, too, have become subject to corruption—that is, to sickness, decay and death.
Yet the boundless love of God is such that He continually longs for the restoration of His fellowship with man. “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us.”
Furthermore, through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, God has opened a way for the
restoration of that fellowship which was lost.

Life Gift

Life is a Supernatural gift given to all humanity by the Creator. He is the source of Life, He is Life, for there is Life in Him and everything do exist because He is. We all desire to have better life, however the question we can ask ourselves is how do we attain better life? The LIFE giver does not promise better life for all, but gurantees BEST LIFE to all who believe in Him.

Life without LIFE it will be meaningless, it will be without the greater purpose the Creator has called you for. We all have a greater purpose to fulfil on planet earth, however that will be impossible or we will miss the mark if we do not have LIFE. Who is LIFE? in the inner being of the Creator, in Him there flows the source of Life. He is the great I AM. You need life? connect yourself with the great I AM for He will be that which you desire to be in Life.
